Very good video...I have a much better understanding of his side of the story. I am still not a fan of disparaging one group of people (Veterans) to make people aware of an issue that is very relevant today. Like you said it could have been done in a better way...Asking one vet his opinion on what is acceptable does not represent the opinion of the entire Veteran community. Most Veterans I know overwhelmingly unhappy about anyone kneeling during the National Anthem, and at the Sametime overwhelmingly support kaepernick's protest of police brutality. I have had friends who were killed in combat defending the freedoms we enjoy with that flag draped over their casket. The least the average citizen can do is respect their service by standing for the National Anthem. I have seen combat and deployed to 3 continents and have seen the worst things in the world that the average American could not even fathom. Because of what I have seen in the world and how bad it can be, I am happy to give my life to protect our way of life to include fighting and giving my life for the right of Americans to kneel during the National Anthem.

I completely agree, Colin journey(kneeling) would of had more traction if it started early... when he was a household name. It really seems like he was bitter, hence he started kneeling. Often I question timing and motives. People often start revolutions when they are down. When they are winning.. they usually reap the benefits first. When things don't go according to their plans, the revolt... its scatter through out history.

Entertainers rely upon fellow Americans for their salaries, I understand his right to protest, yet he signed the nfl contract, which clearly has provisions against politicizing the game. It’s a game! Colin should seek employment that would better suit his agenda. Social enigmas being addressed during an nfl game turned off the hard working public that paid his salary. Disrespect is interpreted differently by different Americans. I respect his stance, it took fortitude, educators and role models should realize they influence our youth and present all of the facts and figures.

It’s 2020 even him growing up biracial he was fine. Idk why people come up with these bad stories of people being racist bc he is white and black. I mean maybe but I’ve never seen anyone of color near me or that went to school with me get treated this way. We were all equal. That’s how it should be. I don’t agree with him kneeling on the American flag to prove a point to his ancestors that he’s trying to change the world. People of color died for that flag also. His method was very ignorant. Yes it did create a huge difference and people did follow but then again he never played again. If you ask me playing the game you love so very much your whole life would be more important to me than trying to point out how the government could be racist towards people of color. I mean people literally died generation after generation for our freedom. And then you got these dumb mf kneeling on our American flag. Not a white persons flag American flag.

There is actually a great variation on ideas about columbus's character. I recently saw a video on Facebook about some evidence that native American tribes that Columbus traded with held him in high regard enough to the point where it put off some of his own ships crew. That he fought with some clergy about how to treat the native people. Not saying that changes anything for certain, I haven't researched both sides enough to say for sure, but I don't know that it's as certain he was evil as some say today.

I'll summarize before even watching. Kaepernick, whom is half white suddenly decided his half black side was his entire identity after dating a racist/militant girlfriend. His mediocre NFL skill suddenly was over shadowed by his bad attitude, and ego. He jumped on a trending social movement to get attention to himself since his star was falling in the NFL. He has since done nothing to better his community, or country, while enriching himself via an association with Nike, which has indentured slavery make their clothing and shoes. He's everything wrong with western society, and the US .

We can’t look back into our history and judge people by today’s standards. Christopher Columbus did what he did for his country and at the time he wasn’t doing anything wrong. We have to be able to find a distinction between the immoral acts as we see them today and the time period of which they live in. For example Mercedes Benz worked for the Hitler and the nazis but they still make a damn nice car. So basically we should be able to look back into our history and see that the common practices of the time are immoral and disgusting today but that they still did some good things.

YOU ARE, this is YOUR career. i get it and totally respect and actually stand with him with his stances, but career wise there was both times he was blackballed (and thats the vast majority reality) but he also didnt help himself at times either. The NFL definitely screwed him numerous times over, but if he wanted back in ---- it fucking sucks to say... but you gotta play their game. I respect him not doing so, but it didnt help him *in that moment, getting a spot* That said the Man deserves a chance and is def better than some of these back ups in the league; HELL THIRD STRINGERS, if thats where you wanna start him till he learns the playbook/knocks off the rust, guaranteed hes better than some these QBs seeing time now.

Kaepernick's on-field antics just rubbed a LOT of people the wrong way. The introduction of his liberal politics into the NFL did nothing but piss off the very people who paid his salary - THE FANS!! He may have learned a lot about his black heritage between the middle of his college and pro years. BUT...he failed to learn the most important lesson of American politics. "Liberalism ruins everything it touches. It ruins politics. It ruins sports. It ruins medicine and health. It ruins schools and universities. It ruins our government. It ruins inner cities. It kills a million babies every year. It ruins science. It ruins gender. It ruins prosperity. It kills human ingenuity and makes people dependent on the government. It ruins peoples' lives." If you - like Colin Kaepernick - watch liberal news and believe all the sensationalism and brainwashing that goes on, you are dumber than dumb. You are being played by the media. You are their pawn. Your mind and your thinking is being influenced and twisted by what they report and how they report it.

A couple of points: He once called a player "n*****" when he was embracing his white side (pre afro). All of his claims of experiencing racism and whatmot were made after his kneeling. He praises Che Guevarra who was rabidly racist. He talks about "oppression" yet takes millions froom Nike,a company who literally uses child labor and what amounts to slave labor. As an American,I supoort free speech and the right to protest. I dont want to see it on football Sunday and I would respect these guys more if they werent silent during the offseason. Also,he opted out of his contract. He wasnt blackballed. The NFL set up a workout just for him and he didnt show. So,Kaep is history and we can move on.

I think he did the right thing. A good strategy is sometimes hard to develop when you are alone, but the players in the league got it and joined him. I think reaching out to a respectable military member to find the right way to get his point across was a good strategy. Taking a knee was respectful and peaceful, however, the political climate and wave of the country was not willing to listen or find common ground like Colin was in order to fix the systemic problem he was calling attention to. Sadly men and women before and after like George Floyd had to unnecessarily cruelly die or get injured by the knee of injustice to get the point across Colin and others were trying to do peacefully.

So weird. He was a good qb, probably top 10-15 in the league. He was plain and simple made an example out of. The weird part is that there was no real coherent message sent. He just pissed off the wrong people obviously. Sucks. Politics can ruin anyone's career. Anyone can have their career destroyed by going against the grain. As far as being a public sports figure, you best be as vanilla as Brady or either Manning. Really not fair, but it happens. If you pulled him off the shelf tomorrow, he will be better than half the qbs in the league. He's certainly better than most backups in the NFL. When Blaine Gabbert supplants you as the starter, well, you should almost give up faith in the NFL.

Thank you your educating video. My initial reaction to any protest is to research the topic before making judgment. However, in today's impatient world, few research before throwing in their two cents, especially people possibly offended by the issue. Comments are easily flung out there to the world without any verifying of facts. I found Kaep to be thoroughly educated in the atrocities of our nation's history and found what he was saying to be 100% true, however ugly and painful to listen to. In my opinion, the problem lies not in those speaking out and trying to initiate change of a horrible situation but of those people who never reconciled their own ancestry and whatever horrible acts may have been (and still are) committed against a whole segment of our nation's society. The change has to be, like most troubling issues, within each of us to realize that anyone suffering or treated poorly in this country is a national problem that will not go away unless addressed. The arguments of ability to play in the NFL, disrespect towards the flag, vets, whatever, are merely deflections so as to not have to address the real issues. To be honest, there are a number of teams who would be so much better with Kaep behind center. Winning usually negates negativity but the NFL seems to have abandon that approach and chose to only see the future through fearful, negative lenses. Their loss.

Damn Kaepernick!!! You could have had it all, but instead of honoring the people who supported you to get you where you were yourself included. But instead you chose to go to the dark side to where there is no turning back. You failed everybody who believe in you but most of all you failed yourself we truly reap that we sold

I've had mixed feelings about Kap. after he took over for Alex Smith , whom I've liked with the 49ers and again with KC cause he is a winning QB . I'd liked Kap. more if he'd protested the huge amount of murder in the black community as well as gangster rap and the extolling of criminal life which is so ubiquitous in African American culture . Also , Kap's. protest encouraged the Black Lives Matter organization and Antifa which has been a scourge on our way of life with this extremely racist identity politics ideology which is even supported by the main stream media that now outright lies about currant events along with the Democrat party . I was a life long Democrat who has had to 'walk away' from the Democratic party because it has become unhinged and so so dishonest ... I want to say though , God bless Kap.and god bless and help all of us ...

Keep politics out of sports! Also he was at work, can't protest on someone else's dime. Do that on your own time.

Flemlo...I love your channel..your videos...but CK? The only thing he gets credit for is turning a HUGE mistake into $$. Most people I know look to sports as a release from all the BS on the daily. Case in point? The NBA. Players turn it into an arena for "feelings" and political views at the peril of themselves and the sport. Lebron James has done more damage than good...and if the NFL opens that door ? It'll be the same. IT'S GAME DAY...doesnt mean take a knee and trash the Country that pays you millions to throw leather...you do that shit on your own time...or..if a player feels strongly enough about it? A channel on ALthe. The problem with the current "movement" is that one race is calling another ENTIRE race out...guilty or not...and what does this create? A whole new series of haters. People on the street that were really raised poor know THIS. At the end of the day, if you put in the work...then you'll make it. If you fail, you try again. Some "fail" and decide to cast blame, or make excuses. I dont make excuses...but when all out strangers want to blame me? Call me racist? Ok....I can be anything you want. You see...these people are guilty of what they accuse everyone else of....and after a while? It gets ugly.
